Radio France Internationale: Film brings to light the story of Aldo Baldin, one of the greatest names in Brazilian classical music

by Cleide Klock

“The narrative thread of the documentary is an audio that was recorded on a cassette tape by Aldo Baldin himself, two days before he died, in January 1994, when the tenor had just turned 49 and was at the height of his career.”

“‘Aldo Baldin is already part of history and by understanding history we can better understand the present.  I think it’s important to know who Aldo was, why he left marks in some places, what he did to achieve such fame and why he is remembered until today.  The musical world knows him, but not Brazil as a whole (…),’ says Irene Baldin.”
